Hopefully im getting the hang of using draft notes. Did more research this time compared to last season.
Pick 1 – Milwaukee Bucks – KC Jones
Great pick here. I think Jones will be a very good point guard in the league. I really like his handles and defense. He also is a very good rebounder for a point guard. He really needs to work on his shooting though. If he can become a good shooter then watch out for this guy. Great pick.
Pick 2 – Seattle Supersonics – Maurice Stokes
After Jones Stokes is the next top player. To me its between him and Twyman. Stokes is a great defender and rebounder as a rookie. Sonics are looking forward to developing him like they did with Dukes and Richie. Solid pick for the Sonics.
Pick 3 – New Orleans Hornets – Jack Twyman
Very good pick for the Hornets. This is a player I was looking at for the Sonics but couldn’t pass up on Dukes. Twyman comes in as a very good scorer. With some camps he could be a very good scorer. The defense is low but it can get better. He is also a good rebounder for a small forward. I like this pick.
Pick 4 – Philly 76ers – Tom Gola
Gola is an interesting player. He can score inside, play some defense and rebound at the small foward position. He really need to work on his outside shot though. If he can get the outside shot develop he will be a very nice player.
Pick 5 – Houston Rockets – Buzz Wilkinson
Solid pick for the Rockets. He really needs to work on his defense though. Buzz is one of the better outside shooters in the draft. Plus a good ball handler. I think Houston should work on his defense so he can be a good all around player.
Pick 6 – Boston Celtics – Guy Sparrow
Solid player. According to notes he is a good rebounder, blocker and post defender. If he has high potential and gets some camps in then he can be a very nice big. He can use some defense and rebounding camps. I don’t think he’ll ever be a good scorer though.
Pick 7 – Toronto Raptors – Dick Rickets
Meh player. Decent defender but thats it. He really needs to have to have high potential or he’s just a decent player. He offers some scoring Lets see what happens to him.
Pick 8 – Golden State Warriors – Harvey Babetch
Nice player here. I like this pick. One of the better shooters in the draft. According to draft notes he has elite jump shot. Thats very good. He needs a defense camps badly though. He also has decent handles. If he has high potential this guy could be nice.
Pick 9 – Orlando Magic – Bob Reiter
Very good inside scorer. Thats about it. If he can work on his defense and rebounding then i think he can be a very good big. I wonder how high his potential is though. If its high this guy can be a nice big for the Magic.
Pick 10 – LA Clippers – Johnny Horan
Pick 10 – LA Clippers – Johnny Horan
Solid player. According to the draft notes this guys should be a very good shot blocker. I like this pick. Develop his rebounding and he can be a deadly big for the Clips. Nice pick here.
Pick 11 – Houston Rockets – Burdette Haldorson
One of the top rebounding bigs in the draft. I like it but that's because i value rebounding. Work on this guys defence and he can be a nice player. Very nice pick for the Rockets
Pick 12 – LA Clippers – Jim Loscutoff
One of the top defenders in the draft. Solid scoring. He needs to work on his scoring i think. Its an okay pick for the Clippers. Hopefully they can develop him into a nice play to come off the bench or better yet a starter.
Pick 13 – LA Clippers – Ed Fleming
I like this pick for the Clippers. Ed looks like he can be a good all around player. Apparently he has high jump shot so thats good. He looks like a decent defender too. Good rebounder at the small forward position. Nice pick here for the Clippers
Pick 14 – LA Clippers – John Miller
Another pick for the Clips. I like this one too. Miller is a top defender in the draft. He has decent handles and only 20 years old. According to note he needs to work on his three point shot. Other than that he is a very decent player. Hopefully he has high potential
Pick 15 – Washington Wizards – Ed Wiener
Another 20 year old gets drafted. Ed can do a bit of scoring and defending. He needs alot of work though. Maybe Wizards develop him into a very good player. That would be nice to see.
