Finally got time to do this. Enjoy!
Sacramento Kings – 26-15
The Kings are on top of the West. They love to score. The defence is solid too. As a team they are putting up 126.8 ppg and allowing 120.9 ppg. They are being led by a few really nice players. Koa Peat is putting up 27.5 ppg and 9.2 rpg as a small forward. The turnovers are extremely low too for someone with the volume he has. He is also blocking shots at 2.3 a game. Very good player. Ed Macauley is also having a good season for the Kings. He is putting up 24.6 ppg and 14.3 rpg. Not a very good shot blocker but he is still a very good player. They have a very nice point guard to in George King. King is putting up 23.6 ppg and 9.1 apg. His turnover are very low too. Their center is a very good shot blocker and same with Calculus Jones. They aren’t really good rebounders but Macauley is making up for that. They have a nice bench too with Cliff Hagan putting up 19.1 ppg and Billy Kenville putting up 15.6 ppg. They have a very good system. Very good team. Excited to see how they do in playoffs.
Minnesota Timberwolves – 27-16
Twovles are 2nd in the West right now. They are a very good scoring team. They put up 130.1 ppg as a team. The defence is nice too. They allow 123.3 ppg. This team has some serious talent. Ill start with Newt Jones who is putting up a big 29.4 ppg. The turnovers are low too so that's very good. His shooting percentages are very good too. Next is Kevin Loathe who is putting up a double double with 26.6 ppg and 10.2 rpg. As with Newt the turnovers are low. They have two bigs putting up some good shot blocking numbers. Mel Payton is putting up 2.8 bpg and Harry Gallatin is at 3.3 bpg. Will Maxwell is also looking good for the Twolves. He is putting up 19.2 ppg and 11.7 apg. This is a very good team with a solid system. If this team had another 20+ ppg scorer then they would be even more deadly. Nice team.
Dallas Mavericks – 29-19
This team is a little different from the other two. As a team they are putting up lower numbers compared to Kings and Twolves. But they are allowing less ppg from the opponent compared to Kings and Twolves. This team has some serious defensive players. As usual I will start with the top player on the team. Red Rocha is an elite player. He scores, defends and rebounds. This guy is putting up 30.6 ppg and 12 rpg. He is also a very good shot blocker. Very very good player. Then you have Bobby Wanzer putting up 28.1 ppg and 12.3 apg. The turnovers are a little high though. Wanzer and Red are a good one two punch though. Very good duo the Mavs have. Lavender Gooms is putting up 20.2 ppg and 1.5 tpg. Solid player. I like the defence this team plays. Tony Lavelli is a good defender. Solid team the Mavs have. I wish them all the best when playoffs come.
Denver Nuggets – 21-12
Here is another top scoring team like Kings and Twolves. As a team they put up 129.1 ppg and allow 122.5 ppg. The difference is this team has TWO 30+ ppg scorers. Thats amazing. Kiyan Anthony is putting up 30.8 ppg and 7.1 rpg as a guard. Very good. Then you have Bob Cousy putting up 30.5 ppg and 11.8 apg. The turnovers are high though. That's a lethal duo. Nuggets also have Sean Ellison. Ellison can score, defend and rebound. He is putting up 2.8 bpg. Also a double double at 19.2 ppg and 12.8 rpg. The Nuggets have some nice players off the bench too like Larry Foust; 11.8 ppg and 10.9 rpg or Bob Patterson; 14.2 ppg in 27.3 mpg. Very nice team. If Cousy can bring the turnovers down that would help the Nuggets alot. Nonetheless a very solid playoff team.
Utah Jazz – 24-16
The Jazz don’t score as much as the top few teams in East but they are still respectable. They put up 125.1 ppg and allow 119.0 ppg. That's very good. Jazz are being led by Terell Thompson who is putting up 29 ppg and 6.1 rpg at the guard position. Thats some good numbers. His turnovers are very low too. Then you have Jack Coleman at 24 ppg and 7.2 rpg. As with Terrell the turnovers are low. Their bigs all are good shot blockers. Cyril puts up 2.8 bpg, Worm at 2.7 bpg and Eddie Solomon at 2.1 bpg. Their point is solid. Jack George is putting up 16.5 ppg but the turnovers are a little high. Ernie is looking nice too. 13.9 ppg in 20.7 mpg is very nice. They have a very good team but can the compete with the other team above them? They surely should give them a fight.
Phoenix Suns – 21-14
Suns are putting up 120.6 ppg as a team and allowing 115.7 ppg. As we go lower the scoring goes down to. But lets see whats up with the Suns. George Mikan is their leading scorer with 28.9 ppg. He is also giving the Suns 11.7 rpg and 2.5 bpg. Thats some elite numbers. Earl Lloyd is nice too. He is putting up 26.1 ppg and 9.2 rpg as a small forward. Wow. Nice. Lloyd is looking very nice. Then we have Paulie Fracci who is giving Suns 20.5 ppg but 3.2 turnovers. That's not that good. Suns need a better point guard. James Wiseman is still around at 36 years old. But he is putting up 3.6 bpg. Nice. They have a respectable bench. Hopefully they can upgrade this team a bit as the playoffs roll along.
Portland Trail Blazers – 21-16
High scoring team that allows over 120 ppg. They are putting up 124.3 ppg as a team and allowing 120.7 ppg. Here is another team with two 30+ ppg scorers. Wat Misaka is on another level right now. The numbers he is putting up is 37.3 ppg and 2.1 tpg. Very good numbers. This guys is something else. Then you have Kenny Miles at 32.1 ppg and 2.2 tpg. Nice numbers. They have some decent bigs. Darren is putting up 3.5 bpg and 11.4 rpg. The rest are decent role players. They also have Kaftan at 18.9 ppg. If this team can get another top scorer then look out. I think they need some better bigs too. Nonetheless, are very solid playoff team.
Los Angeles Lakers – 15-22
The first below 500 team that's currently in the playoff picture. They put up 118.4 ppg as a team but allow 122.4 ppg. They do have a solid team but for whatever reason they can’t seem to be over 500. They have three 20+ ppg scorers. Dario at 26.4 ppg, J.W. at 26.5 and Trenton at 21.2 ppg. Their bigs block shots and rebounds at a respectable rate. Perhaps they should change up their depth chart or try to make a trade or two to get better. Its a decent team but its obvious the current team isn’t working. Hopefully the Lakers GM can fix this team in time for playoffs.
