I will tell you things I like (BLUE) and things I don’t like (RED) about your team.
New York Knicks
I like that Skillz is going for it…at least right now. Barnes’ turnovers are rough, but the rest of his team negates those concerns with incredible handles which allows him to be a mismatch at PG. True to his username, this team can get a ton of stocks. They’re top 5 in that statistic.
I don’t like Budko getting significant minutes. He’s a terrible rebounder. Sure he doesn’t turn it over, but Skillz will need to fix this if he wants to beat the Heat.
Miami Heat
I like what Kobe has done lately. He’s the best GM in BBS at the moment.
I don’t like Javier Rodriguez starting. I think Gene Rhodes would be better served to start given his “A” defense and would funnel more shots to your studs. I think Javy would benefit from coming off the bench in the 1-2 role more.
Boston Celtics
I like the Jax Bryant/Larry Costello 1-2 punch. That’s pretty good, and I don’t really recall Break having anything better than that during any of his rough tenures. Good for him!
I also didn’t like the Jax Bryant deal! I know, I know! Bear with me here! I also agree with other GM’s that it would have served him to not make that Bryant deal and have about $30M+ cap space and also be able to tank for what is looking to be an incredible draft. After that, then Break could’ve started to make his win now moves. Timing is everything.
New Jersey Nets
I like that Marty is trying, and not leaving any stones unturned. This was a horrendous situation he walked into, but it is what it is.
I don’t like the wing scoring on this team. He’s going to need to find a way to improve the shooting efficiency of that grouping, or he very well might get CYd.
Washington Wizards
I like that Jah is turning the page here with his old core. He’s got a decent amount of 1sts and will have significant cap space this coming offseason.
I don’t like that there isn’t a foundational piece on this roster. Houbreg has interesting ratings, but he doesn’t seem to have it. Morton looks to be whatever. Thankfully Jah reset last season, and will have the full window to put something together in DC.
Philadelphia 76ers
I like that Lums has the current #2 projected pick because he will need a top 2 pick to help right this ship. I also like that he will have that Warriors lotto as well. He’ll need to deal that for assets to help in his CY.
I don’t like that Lums is going to be in CY again. When you look at that roster, it just doesn’t look appetizing and it begs to ask…how did this happen? Gola is not looking superb right now. And so what can be done? He will need a well executed offseason to get through CY.
Orlando Magic
I love Frank Ramsey. Taking on the Kuminga contract was easily worth acquiring such a stud in Ramsey who has fully blossomed this season. He’s nearly dropping 30/night.
I don’t like Alfred (not the butler) McGuire. He had a strong steal:turnover ratio in 2035, but has now reverted back to his old form. With C+ defense, that simply isn’t good enough to compete at a high level.
Cleveland Cavaliers
I like Saul’s overall career. He has been such a great find at pick 17, and you just simply don’t see enough of those types of picks. He’s been holding it down for the Cavs for quite some time.
I don’t really love Jordan Marks. He’s fine, but he doesn’t shoot with enough volume to help compensate for his lackluster defense. Certainly an efficient player, though.
Indiana Pacers
I love Clyde. Who doesn’t? But I also like Sails and Hitch. They're an extremely solid wing duo.
I don’t really like Orel. The blocks are nice, but he doesn’t get any steals at all which hurts. Not sure I’d want him starting. I obviously don’t like Darden starting at PG either, but I believe Styro made a trade today. The market sucks right now to acquire a PG so I get it.
Detroit Pistons
I like that Chip is tanking because he surely needs some luck on his side given that he doesn’t have his ‘39 AND ‘40 1sts.
I don’t like the idea of legitimately putting all your eggs in one basket with this draft. If Chip slides down…it’s not good. I also didn’t like him acquiring a shitty Knicks 1st or whatever AND risk Hayes not retiring. He needs to utilize cap space, and those are the type of small moves that just hurt him over and over.
Chicago Bulls
I like that deal Play made today. It sucks, but it’s on him holding Church for so long. This was a net-positive deal in my book. Re-signing Groat and Davis are important.
I don’t like the turnover problems this team has. It’s not downright terrible, but being in the bottom half of the league in that key statistic isn’t ideal. Bagayo is really good, but Play might need to make him a non-option to help bring those turnovers down.
Toronto Raptors
I like that Ant Edwards is still a wagon. The man can still get it done at a high level at age 36. First ballot hall of famer.
I didn’t like that Jalen Hayes deal, and I feel even stronger about that today. I feel like Braz is going for it, but he’s going for it with guys that are on the down side of their respective careers. This just isn’t a really appealing roster surrounding a legendary talent in Cloud, and it might be time to finally deal him.
Atlanta Hawks
I love Elijah Fisher. Feel like I haven’t heard his name in a bit, but man can the guy ball at the highest of levels. I also like McGuire who to me is an underrated PG that I would love to come here.
I don’t like the starting SG on this roster with that rebounding deficiency. I don’t really like the big starting next to AAF. I don’t like Zippy at all. He just isn’t starting material at this juncture which is a sad outcome for DBW unfortunately.
Milwaukee Bucks
I love the Pettit and KC combo. When you luck into that, you better be patient, and make the right moves. This team has a bevy of prospects, and could be scary if Andy makes the right moves.
I don’t like the trade from Andy today unless he can move those Bull picks for any value. If he can’t, then that deal really kind of sucks for him imo
New Orleans Hornets
I like that this team has the worst record AND has a couple promising prospect wings in Twyman and Garmaker. With cap space AND a possibility of landing Baylor or Russell to the mix, the Hornets could be competing sooner than anticipated. Pig is one of the better GMs when he hits the reset button.
I don’t like that Chet is still on this roster! He will cost Pig some wins potentially. I’m obviously nitpicking here.
Enjoy!
