So yeah, FBB has their own winners like MVP, ROY and such. Wanted to go left and see how other award winners would look aside from the obvious ones. I did start this a few sims ago so if anything is outdated, my bad.
LVP: Paul Arizin, Utah Jazz
I had a few different names here (Ron Tomsic was one, for example). So, why Arizin? I wanted to go and look for a player that played over 30 mpg. A player with a big contract. A player with high expectations. Obviously, FBB doesn’t care about all that really but we do. So, again, why? Sure, Ernie Barrett plays solid time and has a shit deal but the expectations with Arizin are pretty high. Started off with the Pistons. Finally traded to the Cavs. We expected him to be there for a bit since he was a solid fit. Instead, he gets shipped away to the Celtics then immediately shipped to Utah because he just didn't look good. Arizin doesn’t bring what you’d expect his ratings, contract and overall expectations would determine he should bring. Maybe he does better in Utah but for now, he is my overall least valuable player. I will say, Arizin did look solid for the Jazz this past sim so there's that. Still for this season, he just falls flat overall. Least Improved Player:
Bill Sharman, Detroit Pistons
TC must’ve been a straight up train wreck for this dude. He’s putting up worse numbers now then he did at any other point if his career. Many may remember his time at SF and while his numbers weren’t great then, they haven’t gotten a ton better since. I feel like Sharman entered TC, noticed he might be playing at SF and decided to go full blown fuck it mode. So, using visuals: He went from: To: Might be a wrap for Sharman as far as being considered a top guard and that wrap is filled with lettuce, onions, tomatoes and chicken. A lot of it. Along with a side of fries. As a member of the Pistons now, we shall see if he can pick up whatever he left off in TC. Red Auerbach Executive of the Year:
Cleveland Cavaliers
Any team that trades for Vic, Loathe and Wah Wah in a season has done a good job. They also added Gross and all the while, managed to keep a solid player like Mullen. The Cavs look like a solid playoff team and if they can upgrade at PG, you have to consider them a potential favorite to win it all. Even still, the Cavs are a dangerous team and in the playoffs, they can make a run for sure if they get hot. If Joe Dean can play some beautiful string music as the leader for the Cavs, they can definitely make a run. Isiah Thomas Executive of the Year:
Matt, Seattle Sonics
When we went into the season, you had to imagine the Sonics would’ve been contenders or at the very least, would be minor moves away. Yet, during the season, they traded away stud PG Wagner would is currently leading the Hawks to a great season. That alone is bad enough. To essentially go from Wagner to Gooms and Zippy is not what you want at all. The Sonics core is still intact but there is still a lot of work to be done to put them back up to where they were before. A team with the core of Dukes, Stokes, Fisher and Guerin should not barely be over .500. Gregg Pop Coach of the Year:
Marty, Nets
You gotta give the man his due. He gets the job done, even with lesser talent. While talent wise, the Nets should not be anywhere near the top of the East discussion, Marty has been able to coach his squad up to a pretty respectable place. At one point, they were the 2nd seed but have fallen off a bit. Still, that has happened to other teams like the Hawks and Heat. I almost gave this to Nanz because a starting line up that includes Slanters and Lorenzo should not be that good. Even with trading Bark, they still are going pretty strong. Still, being in the East, the Nets have been a pretty successful team so far and while they just had one bad sim not long ago, the Nets should be fine going forward. Dick Harter Coach of the Year:
Break, Celtics
I don’t love the Celtics overall talent but I do think they should be better. Typically, DC’s look around the same but it’s the little things that separate the ok and subpar teams. For example, having Wah Wah as an option or Costello as the top guy. What was the DC during that 7-1 sim and was it changed after? Was that when you changed from very fast to fast? Why not go back to that? Also, the Celtics should’ve been more open to experiment with the PG position. ZZ should’ve started a sim or two. Having Costello as the top guy for so long might have cost them dearly. Scrub Rookie of the Year:
Joe Holup, Bucks.
You suck right now. Get better. Joe Rice Tanker of the year:
Joe Rice, Spurs.
I was going to look for a scrub bench guy but I'm good on that. Instead, I decided to look for the worst starter currently. Forget starter, is there a worse player then Joe Rice? Per 36, his numbers pan out to around 21 ppg, 3 rpg, 3 apg, 2 spg and 1.7 tpg. He doesn't provide one single positive as his scoring overall is pretty ok but he doesn't do it in an effective manner. I almost went with AJ Harvey here but man, how can Joe Rice not win his own award?

Good read. Definitely have to give Marty credit.
Matt doesn't put any effort into getting depth. Kinda strange

Sharman did 28 ppg to end last season on good numbers over 21 days at SF
His death wasnt caused by SF, it was caused by a clearly awful TC
