Obvious power signing for the Lakers as they steal one of the best players remaining and have the roster to pump him up to move for a first. I would have loved a competing team to try to get Javi on the extended MLE but he is surely worth the 10 mil expiring filler. I loved having this guy on my team last year as he put up nearly 30 a game with solid boards.

2039 182 Super Sonics Sign SG Lavender Gooms for $36,410,000 over 3 years.
I can not pretend to understand Matt's obsession with Grooms. I think the sad truth is he is still not too active on the boards so really loves the letter grades with out reading between the lines. Grooms would have been great on the Javi deal but to lock him in for 3 full years at over 10 mil per is not a good move the way the league works. He will need to look to resign a bunch of young guys over that time Dukes and Richie, why worry about your back up 1/2 making this $. I also wanted to see Grooms moved to PG in his career but that ain't happening now!

Smart move by a smart GM, and I guess hell of a smart player too has Hayes adds another 14.5 to his career earnings. Age matters not if this man is getting you 15/12/3 at either big man spot. He may retire after this year but gives Harold a chance to just reset his entire team like he always does! Love it!

I am giving a lot of love for 1 year deals and not for 2 years on average players. Now Lebron is an interesting case because we have all said many times the $$ was his biggest issue. I do not love the second year but Galo knows what he is doing and if Lebron and those 4 net stocks fit on his roster than so be it. Lebron is 32 so this takes him to the end of his road likely at under 9 mil a year. Magic missed out on playoffs last year so likely will be trying hard to reset so couldnt lose this guy!

With all the talk of how weak the west will be and the Wilt draft coming we know it was important for CC to reset this year. Vic is still a very good productive player despite his age. Signing him to 3yr deal may prevent his retirement. Asking him to play at a high level till 38 is a lot but if anyone can it is Vic. CC may even be able to get a late pick for him next year when he tried to tank with Coooz.

I had to find a way to steal him from Rex so gave him the long term deal but not the full 6 years. Could be a good trade candidate and with moving Bronny it does not impact my cap. I like the 3 year deal as it keeps him with birds but for a guy like Solomon I would have loved to try to get the 6-7 year deal at a bit lower price, but understandable he had to steal him so this works. Rex has a good Center now and at worst a very good trade asset.

Dario got paid but similar to Javi this keeps the Lakers having fun and gives them two guys who can combine for 60. I love Dario and offered him 24/2 since it was all I had. He's got a few years left in the tank and should be a top trade target.
