Current Era Drafts:
Create a Player Draft:
AARP Era Draft:
Golden Years Era Draft:
17 Centers
9 Power Forward
11 SF’s
8 SG’s
9 PG’s
While there have been 11 SF's drafted, 5 of them are SF's that can play PG. (LeBron, Simmons, Doncic, St. Cloud, Robertson)
The 30’s is the only full decade to not feature a SF playing PG. The 50’s, thus far, has yet to have one either.
There have been 5 1st overall picks traded during the draft. The Knicks franchise has been involved in 4 of them. The lone trade not involving the Knicks was between the Sonics and Mavs where they swapped picks. . `
The Bucks, 76ers, Raptors and Knicks have won the lottery the most times (4)
Multiple teams (Jazz, Blazers, Nuggets, Cavs, Wolves, Lakers, Hornets, Nets, Warriors, Celtics, Wizards and Bulls) have won the lotto twice. The Sonics have won it three times.
The Miami Heat are the only franchise to never win any lottery,. Technically, the Sacramento Kings lone lottery win came in the initial creation draft. Does it count? I'll let you decide that one.
The Cavs (2011 and 12), Nets (2020 and 21) and Bucks (2036 and 37) are the only teams to win back to back top picks.
With the 2020, 2022 and 2023 drafts seeing a Center go first, it has the most consistent "streak" of one position being drafted first. No position has ever gone first in 3 straight drafts.
Era wise, the AARP era is the only one to include no SG and no PG eligible SF's.
