Heading into the 2004 Season this seems like a hot topic right now so I've decided to have fun with it.
Not A Chance
These are the scholars that have graduated from the School of Fictional Basketball and have proven that they took the books serious.
Ashes/Skillz- These two GMs like to prey on the weak and sell polished shit. Fortunately for them there will always be that group of GMs that have an acquired taste to shit, so they will continually feast. They rarely lose trades, and barely have trades that are even for both teams. Early on so far these guys are the leaders of the pack and have set to standard for franchise excellence.
Svedda- The man was Summa Cum Laude of his class. The man knows the game and has the patience. He has a strict taste in players, and will rarely take a risk on a project. He plays his cards strategically and is always looking ahead. (See acquiring Hawks picks knowing they would be CYd) We're stuck with this man forever.
Royal- He made playoffs with Melo and a few Drew League hoopers. He's proved his way.
Kobe- Talks big shit and a lot of it doesn't make sense but he's held his own for the most part. He has the intelligence, and has been doing this FBB thing for quite some time. He'll be here until his post counts hit 200k. Maybe longer since hes already there damn near.
JR- Man already has a title and has been too lucky to count out. Any team with the man Lebron James won't have to do much after he's camped out. JR has the luxury of sitting back and just watching the greatness before him. Luck strikes again here.
Habes- He is the ring leader of the "other" inferior crew here, he has too many cosigners here that will bow in his presence. He shouldn't have any issues with CY, and is probably a after thought in his head, not to mention he has D fookin Wade.
POSSIBLE BUT UNLIKELY
Good GM's, but not without flaws.
Greeme- Isn't in the top tier due to the fact he refuses to camp his guys. Doesn't mean he has too to be good, but I take the GM's that go the extra mile over him. Very good GM, pardon me Great GM, that has a championship already and like Nuggets, took a shit show that everyone ruled out and made playoffs easily.
Sargo- The glue of the Hue Crew, he has too many friends here to let him fail. Has been winning as of late, but is known as the greatest rebuilder in FBB history. Slim chance he sniffs CY. Only matter of time before you all witness the young team he is capable of putting together.
Nanz- I ruled him out in the first couple of seasons, but he has proved that this game is easy to him. Has acquired the arguably most talented roster we've seen, up until the Kobe-AI trade. Too many assets that should keep him afloat for a long long time.
SHOULD HAVE A WILL TYPED UP
Just hanging around.
Galo- Galo as a GM seems to be pretty legit, knows what he is doing, but even before he got himself into this big hole hes in now, he was kind of just coasting. He isn't in the greatest situation and should be expecting the worse, but praying for the best.
Frangie- Tim Duncan is too damn good to trade, and Frangie is too stubborn to trade him so this team will only be as good as Timmy lets them. Clippers have continuously had a great team early in the league, but haven't really been a threat really. If he doesn't trade Timmy for multiple assets, than I'm afraid he will be in the same boat until Timmy leaves, than this ship will sink. Or should I say boat.
DB- Pretty much as average as it gets, but has had some really really good players pass through his city. He has made a few bad trades courtesy of Skillz, and is traveling in a dark place. His only saving grace is that he is the New York Knicks farm team. Skillz needs him, so he'll be okay, once Skillz finds another puppet, its bye bye though.
Steve- Good GM, Good Big Men, bad supporting cast. Steve needs some free agent luck or it may be time to split up the post brothers. He has been barely getting by, and hasn't proved or showed his true GM skills yet.
John- John could be really good, if he didn't have favorite players here. His love for UK players will always be his weakness. Lucky for him all UK players are pretty damn good.
Atscott- Another GM that hasn't proved much, but has been winning with the most average roster. Isn't afraid to make big trades if he really likes it. He isn't safe by any means from CY, and should keep that thought in the back of his head to motivate him.
ONLY A MATTER OF TIME
These guys are in some deep shit.
Pigpen- Got really late lucky late on this season, but hasn't proved to be anything special outside the Nuggets bailout package.
Game- Diego my friend, my brother, my dog! He is here for a good time and not a long time. Not sure when it will it happen, but it eventually will happen. Hue Crew will gift him, and do all we can and he'll still mess it up! This probably wont happen for another 15 seasons though.
Play/Insane- Just want to see their reaction to being down here, they're good to go.
MANS- Mans not hot. I'm not entirely convinced he knows what he is doing as a GM. Good dude, but so was 13rock and losanglife. Not seeing any reason why his future won't lead to a CY.
Erbes- Not sure he realized this, but the moment he decided to tank, he pretty much ended his hopes here. Only saving grace he'll have his moving Dwight Howard, for a stimulus package in a couple seasons. Good job, you played yourself!
YIKES!
Waitlist bound.
Jeb- He doesn't realize it yet, but hes probably 10 regular season sims away from being CY'd. Doesn't have the greatest, team, and doesn't have the cap space to do much. Best of luck bro.
Chipper- He was already fired once here, so he's use to this whole waitlist process. You my bro, but your team is in a real tough East. Concede now and just get the year wait over with.
Ahsan- Doesn't get more shittier than this! 32 win 8th seed, 48 win 2 seed. Lucky piece of shit!! He'll be gone before Derrick Rose enters league. CY counter starts now.
jah- Lets be real here, he should already be CY'd. He has 4 straight seasons at .500 or below, and hasn't shown to be a threat. I really enjoy jah, and want him to make it, but he hasn't given me much confidence in him here yet.
Brian- I think he quit, idk. Hate to see it.
IF I HAD TO PREDICT THESE NEW GM'S FATE
Trapstar- Should have will typed up. Good GM, but might not be the most active once clubs open back up.
Footy- Yikes! Won't admit it but he has a lot to do with Break being CYd!
DMS- Yikes! Told me earlier this week he's been CY'd from BBS twice before. So yea, Big Yikes!
