Going to Tahoe for Memorial Day. Need to know what to do as I have never been. No plans yet on where im staying/going.

Otherwise, I'd suggest looking into hiking trails, access/proximity to the lake - I'd assume it'll be pretty frigid water this time of year but there will likely be boats you can rent or jet skis etc. Just a matter of what you are into.

No idea if there's still snow on the ground but you can usually still take the gondolas up the mountains to see the views if you'd like.

Haha now I'm going down memory lane. Once went camping up there, and a gal and I snuck onto some rich person's property (had their own private dock) on the lake. Was a really cool experience...saw more shooting stars than I think I've seen in the rest of my life and..."enjoyed each others company" haha

You can do similar things in both, but South Lake is also got gambling. We only do North Shore.
We stay at Rustic Cottages. Right across from the beach. Its a nice stay

We end up cooking every night. Saves alot of money. Grilling! same when we do beach vacations, steaks and fresh seafood every night for a week is still cheaper than 2 days eating out. |
