Welcome to my Mock. Please note: I left out C scouted guys. You guys can do your own scouting on them.
Tier 1
1. Philadelphia 76ers --- Bernard King SF 6'7'' 205 20 B+ B C- C+ C+ A
King is my top guy. I toyed with going Parish here, but I don't think he has the elite blocks that I would want out of the #1 guy in this draft. King with elite inside and outside already has an amazing base. Pump +9 into his 3 point before TC and let this man develop. Should be one of the best wings in the league right out of the gate.
2. Washington Wizards --- Robert Parish C 7'1'' 230 23 B C- D+ A- B A
Mr. Parish. Looks like a sure fire starter, probably All-Star right away. He won't turn it over. He boards. He blocks (a little). That strength is always essential in bigs. Just camp those blocks and let him anchor your paint for years to come.
3. Portland Trailblazers --- Adrian Dantley SF 6'5'' 208 21 B+ B- C B C+ A
He really isn't far off from King or Parish. All 3 are in the same tier and I wouldn't have a problem with any of them going 1st overall. He will be a 30PPG wing for whoever takes him. Fun fit with Alex English.
Tier 2
4. San Antonio Spurs --- Dennis Johnson PG 6'4'' 185 22 B C B- A- C+ A
Love his game. No 3PT though and I doubt it'll ever develop. Blocks and steals? I'm intrigued! Very interesting player.
5. New Jersey Nets --- John Lucas PG 6'3'' 175 23 C+ C+ B+ B C- A
Another PG. His scoring looks solid all around and he steals the ball and should take care of it. He's a guy you need to pump camps in early, but should be a stud here. Big fan.
Tier 3
6. Indiana Pacers --- Norm Nixon PG 6'2'' 170 21 B- C B- A- C A
Another PG and another guard with poor outside. Is this a new trend? He does everything else you would want for a PG. We might see some teams switching to a balanced our even inside offense.
7. Minnesota Timberwolves --- Marques Johnson SF 6'7'' 218 20 B- B- B- B- B- A
Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane? Maybe. Maybe not? The straight B-s are sexy, but just solid in most categories. It'll be fun to see him develop...or not.
8. Los Angeles Clippers --- Eddie L. Johnson SG 6'2'' 180 21 B- B B- B- C B
Might go even higher than 8. He's similar to Johnson, but better scorer. I like him a lot.
9. New Orleans Hornets --- Gerald Henderson PG 6'2'' 175 20 B- B- C+ B C B
If you need a PG, this is the year. Might be the best shooter of the few PGs before him. Should do it all from the PG position.
Tier 4
10. Minnesota Timberwolves from Kings --- Scott May SF 6'7'' 215 22 C+ B C B C B
Elite jumpshot you say? Decent inside? Decent handles? He'll be a good player.
11. Boston Celtics --- Alvin Scott SF 6'7'' 185 21 B C C- A- C+ B
It appears that 3PT shooting is lacking in this class. With that said, Scott looks great. Love wings that get stocks.
12. Phoenix Suns --- Rickey Green PG 6'0'' 170 22 C B B B+ C B
Probably should be higher on here. Elite quickness, handling and a jump shot for your PG? Also steals! Yes, PLEASE! Pump some ACs into that 3PT and watch him go to work. Looks to be in that Buse mold.
13. New York Knicks --- T.R. Dunn SG 6'4'' 192 21 B C C- A- C+ B
Fun player. I really like players that have elite steals. He can score too....but again, another player lacking a 3PT shot.
14. Houston Rockets --- Mark Landsberger PF 6'8'' 215 21 B D+ C- A- B B
Did not know where to put Mark. If he blocks, he will shoot up this list. If not, he'll plummet. We will see.
15. Chicago Bulls --- Cedric Maxwell SF 6'8'' 205 21 B C C- A- B- B
A lot of players look alike here. We have a theme in this class. Wings that can shoot the J, but have limited range and can get stocks/board. A bunch of Sam Smith's.
Tier 1
1. Philadelphia 76ers --- Bernard King SF 6'7'' 205 20 B+ B C- C+ C+ A
Elite inside scoring and jumpshot. Good handling and quickness. Solid strength.
