1. Hawks Vs Bulls
the original michael : The Hawks are my favorite to win it all. Well… they are probably everyone’s favorite. 62 wins with elite wings, bigs and a PG. They have decent depth too. I really don’t see the Bulls putting up much of a fight. Hawks in 5.
2. Heat Vs Bucks
the original michael : The Heat are another stacked team. Led by Love, Cunningham, Greg Smith and JoJo - the old heads should win this series over the Bucks easily… just like in real life. The Bucks are a solid fun team but only +1PPG diff.
3. Raps Vs Cavs
the original michael : Hondo is back which is huge for the Cavs but I’m going w the Raps here. I loved the DVA acquisition. My only question w them (actually both teams) is their PG play.
4. Magic Vs Pistons
the original michael : A friendly battle between two pals. This really is the one series that can go any way. I’ll go with Orlando because I think Herm is the best player in the series. Elmore is a stud too.
5. Warriors Vs Mavs
the original michael : Two teams at different points right now. The Mavs are trending down and the Warriors are trending up. I’m going with GS here. Bobby Jones looks like prime Bridges, who has become a corpse. GS is just more rounded.
6. Grizz Vs Lakers
the original michael : The defending champs vs the Los Angeles Knicks, I mean Lakers. The Lakers are sporting 3 former Knicks in their SL; Dino, McAdoo and Buse. The squad has been struggling a bit, so Nanz will need to figure out the best DC. If he can do so, they can knock off the Grizz.
7. Sonics Vs Nuggets
the original michael : Another battle of amigos. Cowens is an absolute monster but what else is there in Denver? The Sonics are still riding their trio of Berry, Hudson and Dampier. I think the Sonics come out on top.
8. Rockets Vs Kings
the original michael : A toss up in the West! Either team can win so it might come down to DC adjustments. If that’s the case, I’m going w the Rockets. They are an odd team with one guy over 20ppg in Mickey Johnson but they have depth.
9: Which of the lower seeds have the best shot at an upset?
the original michael : I’m going to go with the Lakers like I stated above!
10: Your up 2-1 in a series. Do you change your DC or keep it the same? Why or why not?
the original michael : I typically keep it the same unless there is an injury. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!
11: Give me your finals preview!
the original michael : I’m going with a Hawks-Warriors final here. Stoool and the Warriors were on the brink of CY, but make a Cinderella run all the way to the finals to face the powerhouse Hawks. Unfortunately, the Hawks won’t be stopped and probably win within 5 games.
