1) - Fat Lever SF 6'3'' 170 21 B C+ B B B A - I don't see the question. There is no guaranteed star in this class, even fat can bust, but the rebounding advantage at pg gives him the top spot.
2) - Larry Nance PF 6'10'' 205 22 B C C B+ C+ A - Good steals, solid blocks. Larry has no holes in his game. His rebounding is a little lower than ideal but hopefully his pot overcomes that.
3) from - Isiah Thomas PG 6'1'' 180 20 B C B+ B+ C A - Now it starts getting interesting. If Zeke develops a 3 pt shot he is an elite pg but that is a big if starting at C outside with poor 3s. Elite inside and quickness will make him shoot but will he be efficient?
4) - Tom Chambers PF 6'10'' 220 22 B B+ C- C+ C A - Draft, move to sf and hope. He will be a stud scorer. His rebounding will be too low for a big. The holes in his game are clear, low stocks and poor per d.
5) - Rolando Blackman SG 6'6'' 190 22 B B C- C+ C A - It seems that I like him more than others but he will be a stud, efficient scorer. Anything beyond that will take tc luck which i don't have.
6) - Buck Williams PF 6'8'' 215 21 B C- C- B B+ A - I think the draft drops here quite a bit so obv my pick will fall to 6. I still think blocks have become the most overrated category. Sure they are important but they aren't eveything. Also his are mediocre, not poor, so there is hope anyway. Everything else looks good.
7) from - Mark Aguirre SF 6'6'' 232 22 B+ C+ C+ C+ C A - He reminds me of Vinnie Johnson, with a worse starting base and better pot. You draft and hope the 3pt shot comes around otherwise he will shoot a lot but not efficiently.
8) from - Alton Lister C 7'0'' 240 23 C C- D B+ B B - I could go Sleepy here but then you are banking on pot and good pg tcs. Lister has a better base and is close to bust proof. Not a perfect player. poor steals and mediocre handles are far from ideal but you know what you get.
9) - Sleepy Floyd PG 6'3'' 170 21 B- C+ B- C+ C- A - If the right team drafts him he will have monster tcs and become a stud, if the wrong team drafts him he will have bad tcs.
10) - Sam Williams PF 6'8'' 210 22 B- C- C- B- C+ B - I like sam but more importantly Habes likes him and he usually is right about these things. Also I don't really like anybody else. Solid blocks and steals is nice these days. His c+ rebounding is high. If his rebounding does not work out then he can move to sf.
11) - Herb Williams C 6'10'' 242 23 C+ D+ C- B+ C+ B - Could have flipped the Williamses but I'll trust Habes. Also I'm worried about how bad his jump shot may be.He is the type to shoot a lot so if he shoots poorly that will hurt him quite a bit.
12) - Rod Higgins SF 6'7'' 200 21 C+ B+ C- B- C B - Looks great to start with but the smart money says that he has low volume. If he has good volume this could be a steal.
13) - Danny Schayes C 6'11'' 235 22 C+ C C- B+ B- B - Dolph's baby boy is going to be a solid player for years. Both his defense and rebounding are on the low end of his ratings but his base is solid.
14) - Albert King SF 6'6'' 190 22 B- B- C- B C B - Albert is the type of guy that you look at him 8 years in and you wonder when he became a solid starter.
15) from - Darnell Valentine PG 6'1'' 183 22 C B- B- B C- B - nice base to start with. Draft and hope for pg tcs.
16) from - Petur Gudmundsson C 7'2'' 260 23 C+ C D+ B B B - Nothing special but he could end up with a-/a- d/reb although mediocre blocks and poor steals will keep his value down
17) from - Jay Vincent SF 6'7'' 220 22 B C C- B+ C+ B - Not a big fan of anybody left. Jay has a lot of goods next to his name but probably won't ever be a starter.
18) - Orlando Woolridge SF 6'9'' 215 22 A- C C C+ C B - Will score. Won't be efficient. Won't do anything else. Start him, make him first option, hype him up and trade him for a useful player.
19) from - Charles Davis SF 6'7'' 215 23 C+ C+ C B C B - next bunch of guys are all pretty close and not exciting
20) -Jeff Lamp SF 6'6'' 195 22 C+ B- C- B C B - yawn
21) - Elston Turner SG 6'5'' 190 22 C+ B- C+ B C B - Yawn
22) - Pete Verhoeven PF 6'9'' 215 22 C+ C- D+ B- B- B - Big with no blocks. also not much else. He has elite post d so if wilt makes a comeback that would be useful
23) - Steve Johnson C 6'10'' 235 24 B- D+ C- B C+ B - could see him at 17 also. this is not my favorite part of the draft.
24) from - Danny Vranes SF 6'7'' 210 23 B- C C- A- C+ B - decent player. Nothing wrong with him but nothing right either.
25) from - Frank Johnson PG 6'1'' 185 23 C+ C+ B- B D+ B - When in doubt draft a pg and hope.
26) - Sam Clancy PF 6'6'' 238 23 C+ C- C- C+ B+ C - solid notes and he can rebound
27) - Hank McDowell SF 6'9'' 215 22 B- C+ C A- C+ B- eh, maybe can stick around as a backup sf. maybe.
28) from - Larry Spriggs SF 6'7'' 230 22 B C C- B C B - he has 2 goods so that is certainly enough for #28.
29) from - Kenny Dennard PF 6'8'' 220 23 B- C C- B- C+ B - decent. probably better to forfeit the pick.
