1. How was your draft?

autumn harold : Eh, I really screwed myself missing the playoffs and falling outside the top nine in this draft. I think elite strength, solid blocks, and good handles are a great base for Herb, but gotta get his rebounding up to B+ for him to be a good starter. We'll see--not thrilled about it.

the original michael : Went into it with the 6th and 7th projected and of course 8th jumps. Oh well. Was playing with house money since I had the Wiz pick but I’m happy to walk away with Aguirre and Blackman. Toyed with the idea of Lister, but his handles and not great blocks led me another way. I also have 3 solid bigs already.

Zeke : Couldn't be more happier, IT was my first choice when the dust settled, after questions, etc. I would have not been mad at fat or nance but got my man Zeke. Higgins was 9th and 12th on ahsan mock and I like him a lot. Got autod at 2nd but he looks as good as last year lotto Al Wood lol.

RexLuthor : This draft seemed like it was a very deep draft. With us having the 12th pick and me being freshly back, I thought I was going to be looking at a couple bums to choose from. Upon my research there were alot a quality players left at 12. I ended up going with O! Tree. Mr Orlando Woolbridge himself who was a nice scorer irl. We'll see if I can develop him correctly here.

2. Was IT the right choice at 1?

autumn harold : I think IT, Nance, and Lever were all reasonable options at 1. I like IT the most because he's the safest bet for 95-100 potential and had the best notes. Fat's rebounding is a massive leg up, but he's going to need handling camps, and his scoring doesn't sound particularly good. Nance could be a Joe Bryant or Bobby Jones type in a best case scenario, in which case he's probably the best player from the class.

the original michael : Yes. I would have taken him 1. Fat looks like he can be a liability with those TOs.

Zeke :Will let the folks decide, don't wanna be biased. But like I said Spencer comments on my mock draft moved me on this direction. I genuinely saw the ratings and initial notes on Fat and honestly had him at 1 but the follow up notes are kinda underwhelming, and when Spencer said we look too much into ratings that's when I knew I'm taking Zeke.

RexLuthor : If this was RL, I would say yeah but Lever seemed like the number one based on a quick look. Maybe they know alittle bit more than I. Actually pg are more valuable than wings but now that I think further, Fat is able to play at the 1. I'm really curious to see why IT went number. We shall see.

3. Is Fat Lever more like LeBron James/Oscar Robertson or Ben Simmons/Russell Westbrook?

autumn harold : Russ and Ben were pretty bad, so definitely closer to the studs, but I think he's somewhere in between. He's probably going to do 3.5 turnovers per game at PG to start, and his scoring won't be all that awesome, but with camps and good TCs it's not hard to imagine him being a top ten value. Can't see him touching Oscar or LeBron though.

the original michael : Ben Simmons or Russell Westbrook, for sure.

Zeke : Well Russell Westbrook cannot play other position except PG hence he was used more as a back up, Fat will still have that rebounding edge. Probably a better Ben Simmons/Westbrook instead of goats LeBron and Oscar. He's still the 2nd-3rd best prospect of this draft imo don't get it wrong. Prob depends on camps too.

RexLuthor : How damn old do you think I am?

4. Was there a pick that stood out to you (good or bad)?

autumn harold : Nothing egregious to my eyes. For good picks, I think Rod Higgins could be a stud. Also really like Albert King.

the original michael : I did not like the Buck Williams pick. Low outside and can’t really block. He’s gonna need some luck. Chambers at 4 would have been so nice for Dallas.


Zeke : Floyd at 5, I didn't expect play to get his PG replacement at 5. It's not a bad pick just stood out. The back to back wings of sargo are nice too. Hope one of em develop stocks. I think it's a good choice at that number.

RexLuthor : I thought Buck would go before Lance but Braz or should I say Cliff has won many championships. Who am I to judge?

5. Which teams had the best draft?

autumn harold : Knicks, Bucks, and Mavs all had two picks in the top 15 and made good selections, although I'm a little worried about Buck Williams having borderline D+ shooting and mediocre blocks. Great drafts from all three though.

the original michael : The Bucks had a good draft. I like my draft. Any of course, Minny getting IT.

Zeke : Knicks, Mavs probably since they had 2 lotto on a stacked draft. Can't really tell we haven't even have our first TCs/Camps of this folks.

RexLuthor : I like the Knicks wing combination with Aguirre & Blackman. Nice scoring for the rebuild.

6. Which teams had the worst draft?

autumn harold : I don't really see any drafts I'd knock. There was a lot of consensus after three mocks, and I didn't see anyone really stepping out of line with their picks. I was surprised to see Orlando Woolridge go where he did because I hated the notes, but not a big deal.

the original michael : Hard to tell right now. But Chipper giving his pick away and it jumping sucks. He’s the draft loser.

Zeke : I think everyone looks great as of now. Can't really say without looking at developments or even stats.

RexLuthor : I was confused at the Sam Williams pick. There were other big men in the draft that I felt was a better pick. Even if he is moved to sf, I still don't believe he is better than some of the wings picked after him.

7. Nique is in the next draft. What should his ratings/notes look like? Is he the clear 1?

autumn harold : Definitely the clear #1 unless Spence mixes up the class and adds a big name. For ratings, let's say A-/B-/C/B-/C+/A. Elite inside and jumping. Very good jumpshot and steals. Solid handles and blocks. Mediocre threes.

the original michael : Oh momma. Next class looks good. B+ C+ C C+ C+ ? Not really sure. The next 3-4 classes are so sexy.

Zeke : Well, depending who he with. I'm assuming he's with Big Game James if yes, then he should be. Maybe something like A- C C A- C+ A

Elite Jumping, Strength, Very good Inside, steals. Solid Rebounding

Or something like what DR. J looked like but slightly worse.

RexLuthor : B+ C C C C+ A

8. The Spurs won the title. Are they your favorites to repeat?

autumn harold : Let's see if Galo gets McGinnis. Money/Mickey/McG would be nice. Looks like the Hawks are retooling so not clear who should be the favorite. I'd put the Spurs, Pacers, Magic, Heat, and Nuggets in the mix.

the original michael : They are contenders obviously. Hawks will always be in the mix. It’s early though and a lot can change.

Zeke : I like Magic to win, Heat also. Spurs can win but they aren't the favourites. They have a great team though. Don't discount Hawks too.

RexLuthor : Y'all let George Karl get a title!!

9. In the East, will Indy or another team make the finals next year?

autumn harold : I think George was going to rebuild, but guessing that's off the table now. I'll take the Magic to make the finals though. Magic and Donaldson each have another good TC in them and after that they should leapfrog the competition.

the original michael : I’ll go with the field. Indy has depth but I think another team will overtake them.

Zeke : Like I said I like Magic, Hawks and Heat to win. Since I answered them to dethrone to Spurs so I'm answering them here too. Heat are literally a piece away, if only 100 handles Robert Reid didn't walk.

RexLuthor : Is Bob Love still there?

10. Pistons are in CY. How are they looking?

autumn harold : I think I'll be OK. Not going to be able to build a contender or anything, but I have some flexibility to add vets and a few young pieces I can use to improve if need be. It's probably going to be a close call, but I'm good with whatever happens. If I get CY'd I'll just come back and not GM like a dumbass even though it's fun.

the original michael : Theyll be fine. Have some minor work to do but I see them resetting.

Zeke : Well they look like a CY team that is a move away. He hasn't made a trade yet, it's unfortunate he missed the reset to a tiebreaker though. DJ looks like an elite guard. And if he can find a taker to Ray Lewis he'll be fine. Since that man take soft max on their salary cap and that 2.2 topg at 20 mpg left a lot more to be desire.
