Lasagna Kids Lotto Review
So the lotto in review is kinda anticlimactic after doing it. The top 4 picks were scripted from day one, and there was zero surprise. The question here is, because of how good they are, did the rest of the draft suffer? Did some good quality players that had long careers get shafted? Only time will tell, but the draft was loaded with names that lasted well into the 90 and beyond! While we get ready to wonder down the golden years of my love affair with BBall, I look forward to seeing how this draft class pans out, beyond the top 4.
1 Indiana Pacers - Michael Jordan SG 6'6'' 198 21 A- B- C A- C+ A
Elite jumpsing, inside scoring, handles, quickness and steals. Good jumpshot. Potential can be set to 85 at 25, 30 and 35 years of age. Must be posted by GM in RC thread.
Such horrendous bullshit, back to back #1 picks. At least this time he didn't draft the 2nd best player.
A
2 Utah Jazz - Hakeem Olajuwon C 7'0'' 255 21 B+ C C B+ B+ A
Elite inside scoring. Good jumpshot, handles, quickness, blocks, post defense, rebounding and strength.
Was no doubt the order of this draft
A
3 Los Angeles Clippers - Charles Barkley PF 6'6'' 252 21 B+ C C+ B- A- A
Elite inside scoring, rebounding and strength. Good handles and steals. Solid jumpshot, quickness and post defense.
Was no doubt the order of this draft
A
4 Cleveland Cavaliers - John Stockton PG 6'1'' 170 21 C B+ A+ B C- A
Elite jumpshot, handling, passing and steals.Solid 3 point shot.
Was no doubt the order of this draft
A
5 New York Knicks - Sam Perkins PF 6'9'' 235 23 C+ B C- B C+ A
Good jumpshot, handles, post defense and strength. Solid inside scoring, 3 point shot and steals.
Always loved Sam back in the day, was one of the first bigs to really stretch the court from outside. Not sure if drafted on name or notes. Hoping Sam has 100 pot to make him a good long term player.
B
6 Los Angeles Lakers - Otis Thorpe PF 6'9'' 225 22 B C- C- B B A
Good inside scoring, handling, post defense and strength. Solid jumpshot, steals and rebounding.
Decent notes, recognizable name. Is this a Kurt Rambis, but with actual potential?
B
7 Golden State Warriors - Kevin Willis PF 7'0'' 220 22 B- C- C- C B+ A
Elite strength. Good post defense, handles and rebounding. Solid inside scoring, jumpshot and steals.
Sorta reminds me of Buck Williams, so not sure here as we know Buck isn't anything amazing. Way better pick that Stoool would have made though!
B-
8 Seattle Super Sonics - Jay Humphries PG 6'3'' 185 22 C B B- B C B
Elite quickness and jumpshot. Solid steals and perimeter defense.
Starting to see a pattern with the rest of this class. Best PG, but isn't saying much.
B
9 Boston Celtics - Sam Bowie C 7'1'' 235 22 C+ C- D+ B- C+ A
Elite strength. Solid blocks, post defense and inside scoring. Mediocre jumpshot. Poor handles.
Bowie could have gone 5th ot 13th. The right camps and his POT pans out he's a steal... otherwise... Remember him fondly from back in the day, think he should have better notes.
B+
10 Dallas Mavericks - John Battle SG 6'2'' 175 22 B- B- C- C C- B
Elite inside scoring and jumpshot. Good handles and quickness.
Absolute shit should have drafted Kersey, who cares if have Dom. John should score, but will stop people from scoring as much as Stifler's mom did. And a shit rebounder...
F
11 Indiana Pacers (from Wizards) - Jerome Kersey SF 6'7'' 215 22 B C C- A- C+ B
Elite handles. Good inside scoring and post defense. Solid jumpshot, quickness and steals.
Damn Jerome. Love Jerome and he should be capable of being a quality starter putting up 20/8 from the 2 or 3 spot. John ate with this pick.
A
12 New Orleans Hornets - Tim McCormick C 6'11'' 240 22 B C- C- B C+ B
Elite strength. Good inside scoring and post defense. Mediocre blocks.
Gotta +25 this guy right away or will become nothing but a backup. Could be amazing though.
B+
13 Milwaukee Bucks - Mike Brown C 6'9'' 257 21 B- C- C- B B B
Elite strength. Good inside scoring and post defense. Solid rebounding and handles.
I probably would have taken Brown at the 12, think he has the better notes, but here he is rounding out the lotto. Andy always has a knack of drafting well and he did it again.
