Wolves accept. First off, we would like to thank Reggie for his professionalism and understanding throughout this process of finding him a new home. When he was acquired, he was notified that our organization would most likely be going into a different direction with a rebuild around point guard Isiah Thomas. Although Reggie was willing to play the SG position, he made it clear that his priority was to be on a contender especially during the prime of his career.
Once he was made available to the league, we received about 7 trade offers, with none of them involving draft pick assets. Although we are still getting accustomed to the league, it's a bit concerning that a player of Reggie's caliber with his numbers and ratings could only fetch a deal involving 1 pick. But for now at this stage of the rebuild, we are content with getting another pick to add to our assets, while getting Carr back who is still productive at this stage of his career. He will also come off the books at the end of this season allowing us to save about $13,000,000 on the salary cap.
