1. Let’s start with the CY. Do the Warriors make it? Is it wise to wait for a PG from FA or should they trade for one?
Galo - Stool should make it if he doesn't troll himself out. Bird and English is a good start along with Willis. He's got enough bird FAs to get some decent vets on the market for cheap. Point guard spot is still tough imo - but there's some bargain options in FA if need be.
stooolfan - I sure as hell hope so! I have made it through my CY before. Bird, English, Walton should get it done for me. I have to make sure I manage my cap on the PG, a trade could be a brewing. If I don’t make it, it’s been fun as my first shot at this sim and being new, was happy to win a championship.
autumn harold : Yeah, they're gonna be great. Obviously need to fill out the roster but Bird + English is an amazing starting point.
2. Was Ron Harper the obvious top pick?
Galo - Not for me. I probably would have gone with the Worm or Bias. Hollywood Harp is sentimental to me since he's an old Clipper great so I don't hate it but don't love it either.
stooolfan - I traded my pick for English, so I didn’t look at the draft at all.
autumn harold : I like him a lot, but I had Tarpley #1 as soon as Spence announced the +15 potential. If you give a big with that base 100 potential (which I assume he'll have after +15), he could become Moses.
3. Any lotto picks shocked you? If not, who was your favorite lotto pick?
Galo - Otis Smith wasn't on my radar but he looks pretty good. John Salley going top 10 is interesting too but it was a pretty weak draft. Tarp at #4 seems to be a steal.
stooolfan - HF at 4 seemed to be the best player. I was shocked he fell all the way to him. Reminds me of Walton falling to me at 4! That helped me win a championship.
autumn harold : I was surprised by the Mark Price pick. I don't think he's bad, but it's hard for a player like that to be a difference maker in an inflated file. I didn't like my pick at all due to poor blocks but meh, I wanted a guy I could be confident was close to 100 potential after the pot boost, so I went with him. Really love McMillan. Think he can be a DJ type if he gets the boost.
4. What was your favorite pick outside the lotto?
Galo - Dell Curry at #15 - not sure how so many teams let Steph's pops drop so far out of lotto.
@sotoolfan - Since I didn’t have a pick I did not look to closely.
autumn harold : Class was deep. Lot of good picks. Really like Krystkowiak though.
5. What’s the plan with your team?
Galo - Just keep treadmilling I guess. I had to dump Mickey on plays chest with a 70 1st just to avoid HC issues. Idk how long Slick and McGinnis will hold on but we'll see.
stooolfan - Reset first, but I want to win it all. I’m so excited to have bird on the team. One of my favorites all time.
autumn harold : Tanking hard for at least two seasons, maybe three. I'm done fucking around!
6. Outside your own, what’s your favorite team in BBS currently?
Galo - Probably Orlando or Indiana. Magic and MJ are always fun. Phoenix was enjoyable for a while as well.
stooolfan - The pacers look awesome. I wish I had MJ
autumn harold : Every good team sickens me because the top guys are way too good these days. But I guess I'll say the Magic because I love to see my pal Don winning games and for some reason I've always coveted Robert Reid.
7. The Q&A board is bouncing right now. What’s another idea you’d love to see added to help with activity?
Galo - Good question. Not really sure - abolishing the CY has been thrown out but I think that would allow GMs to just sit back and not contribute as much. Maybe making CY 4 years instead of 3 years? IDK!
stooolfan - I think it is a great incentive for activity. I’m not sure how to drive up more participation: I think post pads are annoying personally lol. Maybe juicy rewards for blockbuster trading.
autumn harold : Awesome idea by Braz. Loving it. I think adding a reward like a frenzy around draft time and tying it to getting bids in would be great. Maybe something where everyone gets an AC if all bids are in when Spence processes the draft. IDK. That's a common gripe, so it could be cool to add an incentive tied to getting Day 1 bids in.
8. Is Marty officially done in BBS or is there a chance for a return one day?
Galo - Never say never but not sure. He seems to like to troll more than be a GM so who knows.
stooolfan - Fuck that troll. Makes a deal with me and quits. If he comes back im done.
autumn harold : Not sure but IDK why you'd let him back at this point.
9. What’s a player coming soon that your interested in drafting?
Galo - GP - Gary Payton
stooolfan - My favorite player all time is Steve Nash, so when we get to his era I want him, no matter what it takes to get the deal done lol
autumn harold : D-Rob, Pippen. WIll be fun when guys like GP, Kemp, Zo, Mutombo, Shaq start arriving too.
10. Predict the BBS finals for the upcoming season?
Galo - Mavs & Magic
stooolfan - Warriors winning it all! CY year champion lol
autumn harold : Hawks-Lakers? Would be fun to see Magic-Lakers.
