Wolves accept. First off we would like to thank Matt and the Spurs organization for a great conversation and easy transaction. The decision to move on from Cheeks so quickly comes as a bit unexpected to us, but his disappointing TC and the acquisition of Elho made it difficult for us to fathom playing 2 guys out of their natural positions moving forward. It was better to cut our losses from Cheeks now and not make things difficult on us for the remainder of that contract. Cliff is a guy we really like and at 27 years old, he fits our core perfectly as someone we consider to become a long term piece for us. He can score, rebound, block some shots, and is an all around solid piece to have on our roster. We're gonna toy around with him at the SF position to begin the season, which we think should be a benefit defensively. IT, Elho, Cliff, Gattison, and Jones should be enough to get us into the playoffs and we think we're gonna surprise some people out there. Guys like Duckworth, Carr, and Anderson off the bench should provide us with enough support offensively as well. This deal also allows to free a roster spot to hopefully sign a backup PG in FA, as well making things a little bit easier financially in the long term. Overall we think this was a move we needed to make, and are pretty excited about adding Cliff.
