Now that we got some sim 1 data and TC under our belts I will look at the lotto from this recent class and give a little grade to some of the picks.
1 New York Knicks - David Robinson
Original Ratings- C 7'1'' 235 22 B+ C C- A- B A
Analysis- KJ was a great pick and really the pick here. Play took him despite having a great pg under 28. That means that KJ will likely ride the bench until its floyds time to go to sleep for the bulls. I wanted KJ before I jumped and made an offer to trade up for him from 10. Play likely tried to shop him for a true talent but after pumping camps and a big TC decided it was best to keep him. KJ being an A- scorer at PG and going +2 outside really sets him up to be a star.

Current Ratings - A- C C A A- A
Analysis- No surprise Drob is a sure fire stud in this league. Between camps and TC he has solidified himself as the cornerstone of the Knicks franchise. Drob has gone +1 inside, handles and defense and took a massive leap in his only area for improvement which was rebounding. I think he looked better in pre than he did in sim 1 but solid foundation for a rookie big already getting nearly 12 boards and 3.5 total stocks. His FG % will improve throughout the year. Drob was the clear top pick so easy win here for Sargoni
2 Atlanta Hawks (from Heat)- Scottie Pippen
Original Ratings - SF 6'8'' 210 22 B+ C+ C+ B+ C+ A
Current Ratings - B+ B B- B+ C+ A
Analysis- I mean I am still baffled that Kobe felt like his only move was an aging Malone but he was pretty down and inactive at the time. Considering how many solid older guys are available for cheap i wouldnt have moved the pick. Now what that really means is DBW has a great start to his rebuild. Some hated on Scotties starting ratings saying they were too low and his defense wasn't good enough but the stats prove that wrong. Scottie is out here doing starting center boards (10) and blocks (2.5) with steals. His fg% also sucks but that likely is product of a dc and he will surely be a 26-30 ppg stocks man coming soon. Obviously the 2 pick in this draft
3 Denver Nuggets- Reggie Miller
Original Ratings - SF 6'7'' 185 22 B- A- C- C+ C A
Current Ratings - B A- C C+ C A
Analysis- Reggie to me was the clear #3 pick and came in to be exactly what you would expect a bonafied scoring option. Reggie was capped outside and jumper and good inside to start and he saw an increase to B inside with even assumed limited strength through his first set of camps. Past that Reggie will not ever be a stocks man or a board man but gotta love him for what he is. Unfortunately the volume SG is not super valued in the league but either way im stoked i jumped in the lotto and got a big NAME talent. He has started his career with 20 ppg, low Tos and great fg%, just no idea how to camp him.
4 Minnesota Timberwolves- Toni Kukoc
Original Ratings - SF 6'10'' 192 19 B- B- B- C C+ A
Current Ratings - B B B- C+ C+ A
Current Ratings - B B B- C+ C+ A
Analysis- I think this was the right 4th pick especially because the 19 year old prospects always bring a lot of intrigue. Toni already had a good TC rising across the board while maintaining his A pot. At 6'10 on the wing Toni should become a good rebounder and solid scorer. He has not played yet this season but in very limited sample size he played well in pre. Ideally now that the wolves are looking to get some wins he could be a very good trade asset to push the chips in.
5 Cleveland Cavaliers- Reggie Lewis
Original Ratings - SF 6'7'' 195 22 B C C- B+ C A
Current Ratings - B- C C- B+ C B
Current Ratings - B- C C- B+ C B
Analysis- Well its looking better for ole Reggie after pre. In 4 quick games he shot the ball very well and rebounded for his position. I would have personally looked at a few other guys and we know Steve was not too happy post pick. TC was not kind but I think he has a future as a starter (I hope)
6 Chicago Bulls- Kevin Johnson
Original Ratings - PG 6'1'' 180 21 B+ C B C+ C A
Current Ratings - A- B- A- B C- A
Current Ratings - A- B- A- B C- A

7 Boston Celtics - Horace Grant
Original Ratings - PF 6'10'' 215 22 B C C- B+ C+ A
Current Ratings - B C C- B+ B- A
Current Ratings - B C C- B+ B- A
Analysis- Good pick for the section of the draft. Horace came in strong with good potential to score but not really block. As a starter his fg% sucks but has proven himself as a pretty good stealer of the ball which seems like it will matter in the back end of this iteration as blocks decrease. He reminds me of James Worthy if played SF but I am not sure if that is a good thing.
8 Detroit Pistons - Derrick McKey
Original Ratings -SF 6'9'' 205 21 C+ C+ C+ A C B
Current Ratings - C+ B+ C+ A C B
Current Ratings - C+ B+ C+ A C B
Analysis- Did Derrick McKey remind Habes of Greg Smith? I am not sure and he was much lower on my big board but Habes was sold on taking him and wasnt bluffing when he said so early on. He has proved to be a stocks guy but his rebounding didnt improve but his outside shot does. If he ever produces some volume he could be a pretty nice player. If he does not at least he stocks the ball. it should be noted he has not yet missed a FT in his career.
9 Houston Rockets - Andrew Gaze
Original Ratings - SF 6'7'' 209 22 C+ B C- C+ C A
Current Ratings - B- B D+ C+ C B
Current Ratings - B- B D+ C+ C B
Analysis- The Aussie was taken in the top 10 and had pretty high potential. He had a decent TC on scoring and leaves a bit left to be desired but Broph won't give up on him early and will turn him into a good scorer as time goes on. Certainly did not see enough of him playing yet to make a big call.
10 Denver Nuggets (from Clippers) - Mark Jackson
Original Ratings - PG 6'1'' 180 22 C C+ A- B+ C A
Current Ratings - C B- A A- C B
Current Ratings - C B- A A- C B
Analysis- Well I did not expect Mark to fall to me but at the same time I was not sure if he was the second best PG or the 5th best in the class. That kind of draft. I was pretty happy with his pre as he had some volume but he needs some work for sure. Mark briefly went to C+ inside then back down in TC but that is life I suppose. I am hopeful Eric Money can resign and this will be a non issue.
11 Houston Rockets (from Hornets) - Jeff Grayer
Original Ratings -SG 6'5'' 200 22 B+ C C- C+ C B
Current Ratings - B+ C C- C+ C B
Current Ratings - B+ C C- C+ C B
Analysis- Elite inside SG is always a solid pick and thats what Broph did. Grayer had great fg% in pre but have not seen too much else of him and his TC was a complete wash. Broph better get to posting to camp all of these guys! if Jeff or Gaze pan out he will be happy. But he got his stud draftee out of the lotto anyway.
12 Portland Trail Blazers - Anthony Mason
Original Ratings -PF 6'7'' 250 21 B- C C- A- C+ B
Current Ratings - B- C C- A- C+ B
Current Ratings - B- C C- A- C+ B
Analysis- Another rookie not getting any burn at all. Mason was a fan favorite going into the draft as a Knick. Given that value across the league it would make a ton of sense to package him with Dantely since the Blazers are looking pretty hot.
13 San Antonio Spurs - Steve Kerr
Original Ratings -PG 6'3'' 175 22 C A- C+ C+ C- B
Current Ratings - C A- C+ B- D+ B
Current Ratings - C A- C+ B- D+ B
Analysis- Kerr is a good pick and I almost took him at 10 thinking hed be a great fit next to Miller in outside but was worried about the volume. His TC up on D down on Reb is whatever and so far he has been a good scorer for Matt off the bench. At this point Matt should gas him up since he has commish name value and add him into an MJ package for the least valuable MJ to get off his roster. I think Kerr will be good.
