Lebron averaged 17ppg in the finals vs the mavs....with guys like Jason Terry and JJ berea taking turns on him. He also averaged a triple double, so? Triple double some made up stat.

Only player on the same level as MJ was Kobe. And I can't fault you if you go either way.
Just a similar in style, approach, drive.
I personally feel that Kobe was the greatest. He was just a better all-around player but some of his prime years were wasted on teams starting Smush Parker, Luke Walton and Kwame Brown.
His shooting, his off-the-ball game, that overall smoothness.

I lived in SoCal from 2005-2009 and saw a lot of Laker games (I was a Rocket fan during this time and moved back to Houston in '09). But just seeing Kobe's dominance taking those shit teams to the Western Conference Playoffs year in year out, he was the greatest I've seen. He was special. May he rest in peace

LeBron is great in his own way but I wouldn't take him over MJ or Kobe.

If Zion Williamson played in the 60s 70s 80s we'd all be watching his Last Dance on ESPN right now. ehh, chuck would still be better.

Kobe always added to his game.
After losing in the '04 finals, he studied Rip Hamilton and really worked on his off-the-ball game.
In the mid-late 2000's was the first to seek out Hakeem to work on the post game (and it showed).
As seen in the documentary, he was constantly seeking help from MJ to learn.
He got better with time and by 2009, was pretty much unstoppable. He made teammates better, look at Bynum/Odom, look at how Pau was with him. And when it was crunch time, he just had ice in his veins.
Watch old episodes of Detail on ESPN+ or read the book Mamba Mentality. The way in which he worked was just unbelievable. He was the greatest of my generation.
