Introducing ELI bigman
Welcome BBS members! This is a Sitdown with new Orlando Magic General Manager, Elijah Weekes. Weekes is a 15 year vet who gets worse at managing a FBB team by the day. Spencer recently gave him a 5 year CY because of how poor his roster is and how poor is track record is.

Eli, first and foremost, welcome to the league. I thought it would be a good idea to sit down and have a quick little chat to give the rest of the league a good idea on who Eli is as a person and as a Fast Break Basketball General Manager. How's it going my man?

Im all good family. Feels good to be with so many familiar faces that I love !!!! Supposedly this is the best fbb league on the market and I’m glad to set up shop here albeit with a shit team but what can I expect. I have arrived!!

It's definitely the best league out there. You're in for a treat. You and I have been in leagues together for how long? 15 years? It's wild bro, but I'm glad you're here. If I remember correctly, you could have joined BBS a while back but declined? Why'd you do that? do you regret it?

Ended up joining royals new top flight instead and realized that royal was spending more time here instead of in his OWN league. Should of came here instead but alas we all make mistakes. I do regret it even though I built a decent squad over there but this league just feels different. Has that nostalgic fbb feel to it.

I’m an elite level tanker. I can get into the lottery like no one else’s business. When it comes to drafting I might be the WOAT though. Also I tend to sit on my teams a lot. Usually trade when I need to not when I have to. Anyways, what are you trying to accomplish this year? I learned the tanking game from the you the OG tanking guru seems like you are going to a rebuild.

Losing certainly humbles you. Ah remember the days of the SARGO tanking corner? I wrote the book on tanking back in the day. Built some absolute bomb squads in the old BTSL. I've struggled here tanking until last year. I tried the half ass tank a few times and it fucked me. But yah, this year, it's business as usual. I plan to bottom out one more year with all of this youth in an effort to nab Curry or Harden. The plan really is for just a 2 year tank. Anything else is risky with that 4 year CY.
So back your squad, you mention your an elite tanker (ehh questionable). Do you plan on attempting to get your picks back in 2009 and 2010 to tank? or tread water for a few years given you have the luxury of a 5 year CY?

Breaking news. The 2009 Orlando magic pick has been secured. Next goal is to get my 2010 but dealing with the goat troll covid will be tough. Gonna try and tank and secure a franchise player in this years draft and build around them. Having this extra year will be crucial in rebuilding this team but I think Orlando will be fine though. I just want to jump into this rebuild and make this team my own.

Good gainz. You had to pay the price. I'm glad you did. If Pryzbilla survives TC, he should net an asset. Funny story, kobe could have had two firsts from me last year for Pryz but bitched. Anyways! Yah, bottom out this year, get an elite prospect, then worry about your 2010 next year. Trading AI has to be next on the docket then? right?

AI has to be next. So if you want him then offer up and holla at me because he can go. Would be nice to get rid of gerald Wallace too if I can. This team is just so shit. Idk how Amar thought he was gonna make CY with this but that’s beside the point. Just want to start at square one with this team and rebuild. At least I have my pick this year so this year shouldn’t be a complete waste of time. Without my pick in 2010, might be tough but it is what it is. Do you think I’ll be able to make my 5 year cy or are the magic just cursed?

Why the fuck would I want old ass AI? But yah, Wallace is ass in my opinion, but Spencer loves him and he made the file so I trust him! Amar just got lazy. I think he could have made it if he added depth, but oh well. It opened this opportunity for you now.
If you don't make your CY in this 5 year window, you should probably take a hard look in the mirror and maybe realize that FBB is not for you. It might be time to move on and never show your face here again. But with that being said, I think you'll make it. Tank this year, get whatever value you can for AI and Wallace. Get expirings because cap is king here. You can accumulate assets with cap space here since everyone is hard capped. Even without your 2010, you'll be fine. Sooo...have you received any inquiries on AI yet?

Nothing yet but I just got here. Gotta ease into the water first before the gms can approach me but everyone knows I’m friendly

Yeah I’m probably gonna retire after maniac and this league end. Time to put my hat on the stand and put my feet up in fbb retirement. Is this even worth it anymore? But yeah Wallace and Iverson will go to the highest bidders and I’ll assess how 2010 is gonna look but for now we look forward to the 2009 draft.
