Clear up any confusion here:

*We still have enough to offer 2 Max FA bids but so do the Kings now
* By doing this trade, it reduced our ability to move up in the draft
* There is no compensation offered here by Ashes for us to help him here. Add a future 1st lotto protected and I think that's fair
* If not, keep the trade as is. I don't really care, just helping a GM who acted without understanding the implications.

Im talking to him all day lol i just figured this was literally a nothing deal where i get some depth and he gets a little room. Wasnt aware of greater implications. Either way i can still offer 2 maxes so I'm not heartbroken over it

This didn't reduce your ability to move up in the draft, there is a cap hit difference of 600k between my pick #14 and #29, still does not affect the ability to offer 2 maxes

compensation? why the fuck would I add anything when Smith is a solid backup, I'd rather trade the #25 than offer Smith PLUS a 1st

instead of writing all this extra stuff, you could've just said "no don't let the kings have max cap space"

just back out of the deal

too many max offers will all come down to desire for winner, and that Break loses, so no real harm here other than giving Ashes a run for a max.
