I just received notice that I did not get the promotion I’m bummed I’m also going to email the VP asking why not (in kind words, to better myself for future promotions) Any advice bbs? Send a handwritten note to the decision maker expressing thanks for the opportunity but obviously disappointed you werent selected for the promotion. And ask what skills you need to strengthen to be re-considered in the future. handwritten!? Gtfo Galo!! |

All companies are different. Do you have an immediate manager who recommended you for promotion? Position in the company that was open that was a step up? Do you have some goals you have to hit every fiscal year? |
