I dunno, I don't value the social aspect of work at all. Never have. Even if I hadn't been traumatized by 8 years of separation in the Navy, I've always wanted to work from home. It really depends on what you're doing, I think. Random interactions with coworkers are very helpful for ideas about how to approach problems or how to think about things. Plus its a lot easier to get on someone's calendar when you are in the office.

A remote Friday would be nice Agreed, balance would be best. Like 3 days in office, 2 days from home. yes that would be nice

Commuting is horrible. Saving time by not doing that gets more work out of you really. Saving money. No one is chatting your ear off all day lol

Even if I hadn't been traumatized by 8 years of separation in the Navy, I've always wanted to work from home. working from home has its benefits... some people arent very productive from home and I understand that... but I am... and Im not going to lie... just like im doing now BBSing while working I goof off sometimes... but I get the job done and Ive had zero complaints about my work at my current job (actually the opposite). I dont need to see people every day to be happy, I see my gf every day thats enough lol and then I have the weekends to hang out. Yeah I mean I'm happy to be social and hang out, just never needed to be around people at work for that. I can understand why some people wouldn't like being at home all day, but I enjoy it.

Very helpful to decompress at the end of the day. Tough for many people to live close enough to work to make that happen though.

No one is chatting your ear off all day lol I like commuting because I enjoy driving and it let's me listen to audiobooks/podcasts (I can never do that shit at home). But I do dislike spending money on gas lol

That's not to say I didn't have interactions I enjoyed (I met my wife at work lol), but I am pretty sure I'm pretty set now haha
