Pick 1 - Milwaukee Bucks (from Nets) - Bob Pettit
Great pick here. Pettit is probably the best player in the draft. He comes in as a great scorer who defends and rebounds. No brainier pick here for the Bucks. Good job.
Pick 2 - Seattle Super Sonics - Richie Guerrin
Another good pick. After Pettit, Richie is the best player. Richie comes in as an all around player. He can score, handle and defend. Plus, he even rebounds. Good pick here for the Sonics.
Pick 3 - Golden State Warriors - Red Kerr
Very good pick here. Kerr is a good defender and rebounder. According to his draft notes he could turn into a very good all around big. Nice pick here for the Warriors.
Pick 4 - Houston Rockets - Gene Shue
Decent pick here for the Rockets. A little on the older side. Draft notes says he is a good scorer and good ball handles. Decent when stealing the ball too. Decent pick here for the Rockets.
Pick 5 - Minnesota Timberwolves - Don McLane
Solid pick for the Wolves. Don comes in as a very good scorer and defender. If he works on his rebounding then Don can become a very nice big for the Wolves.
Pick 6 - Milwaukee Bucks - Slick Leonard
Nice point guard that seems to have solid potential. According to draft notes he is an elite ball handler and good at stealing. Needs to work on his scoring though.
Pick 7 - Hornets (from Los Angeles Lakers) - Dick Garmaker
Not sure who has Dick and I dont have the time to look it up but Dick looks like a really nice player. Seems like a nice jack of all trades type of player. Good pick.
Pick 8 - Boston Celtics - Bob Mattick
Decent pick. A young high risk/high reward player it seems. Hopefully he has a good training camp and becomes a good player for the Celtics.
Pick 9 - Boston Celtics (from Cavaliers) - Larry Costello
Nice shooting point guard here at pick 9. Larry could turn into a nice scorer for the Celtics. He really needs to work on his defending though. Good pick for the Celtics.
Pick 10 - Washington Wizards - Lee Morton
Interesting pick. Not really ready to play big minute in my opinion but he is 19 years old and may have some good potential in him. Good high risk/high reward player. Hopefully he turn out nice for the Wizards.
Pick 11 - Philadelphia 76ers - Dick Rosenthall
I like Rosenthall. He is a nice inside scorer that defends and rebounds. If he can bring up his outside shooting this guy can be a beast. He is on the older side though at 24 years old.
Pick 12 - Utah Jazz (from Portland Trail Blazers) - Art Spoelstra
Okay pick here to be honest. He doesn’t seems like much right now. Perhaps he has high potential? I hope he turns out good for the Jazz.
Pick 13 - New York Knicks (from Pistons) - Gus Lovett
Nice big that looks like a very good defender. Nice pick for the Knicks. If he can work on the rebounding then he can be a very nice big.
