A spine. Fucker made the Hawks trade 'Nique during our best season because he couldn't handle his own ego. damn i was waiting for the reason why. How was Lenny more important than Nique!? So there were multiple factors there- but Lenny had a massive ego and reportedly went to Pete Babcock and was essentially saying "I don't want anyone bigger than the team" but 'Nique was incredible. 'Nique was a free agent and they SAID they were "worried about him re-signing"- but he had always said he wanted to stay in Atlanta forever and was planning on re-signing after the season. And we were in first place and had an amazing team. You try to win the title THEN and if he leaves, so be it. So being "worried about him re-signing" they traded him for ANOTHER freaking FA in Danny Freaking Manning who then proceeded to leave in FA anyways. Just sheer stupidity. One of the few times we actually had a team that matched up with the Bulls and the other top Eastern teams and we fucked it over. We were literally in first place when the deal happened. |

my biggest gripe with the mets is we got too cute with the DH. Voggey is fat and funny but sucks. Ruff isnt even worth a roster spot. We banked on Vientos whos batting under 150.

It's an oblique tho so who knows what happens If he was still playing I'd feel even better about this upcoming series. But whatever happens happens. |
