just the idea that we could have to play through major inclement weather in the most important series of the entire MLB season is wild to me. We lined up Jake Max bassit. Long as you dont sweep us we control our own destiny! Weather's supposed to miss Atlanta completely so you don't need to worry about that. Braves lined up their rotation too so I feel pretty confident a sweep is coming- but stranger things have happened. our bats need to rise to the occasion for sure. Will be a fun weekend of baseball. What more can we ask for. Maybe the Phillies blowing the lead to Milwaukee?

Don't think I'm making it to any of the games but they're supposed to all be packed and we've played really well at home this season. The one thing I want to see if there is actually a sweep is the back pages of the NY newspapers after it happened.

Michael Harris II is the truth tho. Grissom too lol Eh he's fallen off a lot the last few weeks and Arcia's been starting over him- but I think he's going to be great as he develops more. He definitely came up early. Could see him playing LF next season depending on what happens with Dansby.

Strider is one of my favorite pitchers. Saw him down here when he was still coming out the pen

my biggest gripe with the mets is we got too cute with the DH. Voggey is fat and funny but sucks. Ruff isnt even worth a roster spot. We banked on Vientos whos batting under 150. BRING BACK the DOM BOMBS I don't mind Vogey. Ruf is awful and JD Davis is playing really well in SF. Good experience for Vientos but he needs to be sent back down

the difference between what we've seen of baty and what we've seen of vientos is sizeable

Strider is one of my favorite pitchers. Saw him down here when he was still coming out the pen Well, he's definitely the guy that took over from Freddie as "clubhouse leader"- and he's a local guy who has outwardly expressed desire to stay. But it's totally fascinating because a) his last couple years have been his best, b) there are some metrics that are screaming "he's not that good offensively!" that concern me, c) he can be extremely streaky, and d) his agent is Casey Close and we'll see if the Braves ever want to do business with Close again after the Freeman saga. I'm sure that last one is irrelevant but it's always fun to speculate. I think there are a LOT of options on the SS market this offseason as well, and the Braves were reportedly the team that finished 2nd in the Correa sweepstakes, and if he opts out he's available again. So maybe they'll go after him. I think they'd prefer to keep Dansby if he takes a hometown discount.

The thing the Mets need to worry about is- even if they do win the division- that rotation isn't good enough for October right now. At least with the Braves, if Strider comes back for the playoffs, they have 4 guys I'd trust in postseason starts, which works out well for if they were to play 2-3 games in the WC round and then immediately start the division series. But the Mets HAVE to win the division because if you use DeGrom and Scherzer in a WC round, then what are you doing for the division series?

Carrasco needs to be in the bullpen

Bassitt is a number 3 starter in the Braves rotation too IMO I rate Fried, Strider, and Wright over Bassitt this year, and Morton's past history in the playoffs would elevate him over Bassitt for me as well.

Thing is- the Braves won it all last year so whatever we do this year is gravy.
Would be nice to win it again. I just genuinely don't think anyone has a prayer against the Dodgers.

Scherzer will obviously be fine. DeGrom will probably get into his normal form at some point- the last few starts have to be cause for concern but he's Jacob Fucking DeGrom so he'll be great.
